Ad Complaints Reporting

Ad Standards' reporting of Council Decisions (formerly known as Case Summaries) are a critical part of the consumer complaints process. Council Decisions are published for infraction(s) of the Canadian Code of Advertising Standards (Code) as determined by Council in light of the concerns raised in the complaints.

Council Decisions about advertising found to be compliant with the Code may be published, at the discretion of Ad Standards and advertisers, as an educational tool for the industry.

Council Decisions provide insight into consumer concerns and how Council interprets and applies the Code clauses.
