Ad Standards Clearance Services reviews cosmetic broadcast advertising copy to ensure compliance with the Guidelines for the Nonprescription and Cosmetic Industry Regarding Non-therapeutic Advertising and Labelling Claims. We have been providing clearance in this category since 1992, when Health Canada transferred this function to our organization.
Ad Standards Clearance Services also offers consultation services for new product launches and new advertising concepts. Review services are offered in both English and French and are done by clearance analysts who are experts in their respective disciplines.

At the request of industry, Ad Standards has developed a Clearance Services logo that may be affixed to advertising materials that have been reviewed by and received approval from Ad Standards Clearance Services. The logo may be used in all forms of media provided that the advertisement was reviewed and approved by Ad Standards in its final, as-produced form.
