Ad Standards has launched a new portal for preclearance submissions!
Please refer to this page for the most up-to-date information about our preclearance portal upgrade.

Please review all documentation in our Help Centre, and refer to it when using the new system for the first time. This Help Centre will also be accessible from the submission portal.
Your old login credentials* will not work in the new portal. You will have received an email with unique login information to use on the new portal on November 15 or 16.
*If you already use this portal to submit advertising for preclearance under the Code for Responsible Advertising of Food and Beverage Products to Children, your login credentials will not change.
Please note that we have enhanced your account security by implementing two-factor authentication at login.
When you log in to the new system use the unique login information provided to you in an email from ITsupport@adstandards.ca. You will then enter a six-digit verification code when prompted.
By default, your verification code will be sent to your account’s email address. However, you can update your preference under My Account to receive the code via text message instead. For quicker delivery, we recommend choosing the text message option.
The last day to make a Health Products submission for a larger order (e.g. a website that is more than 10 pages long) is November 8 at 5:00 pm ET. After this date, any larger submission must be sent in via the new portal on or after 9:00 am ET on November 25.
The last day for all other Health Products submissions, including new submissions, resubmissions and number transfers, is November 14. Any Health Product orders submitted by November 14 via the old e-Clearance portal will be returned following the usual timelines, taking into account Ad Standards’ office closure on November 18.
The Health Products portal will open on November 25; however, there will be no Express or Priority Service for Health Products submissions from November 25 to December 1.
Analysts will continue their work on submissions made in the old system. After the transition to the new system, the work will continue with the same due dates (taking into account the closure on Monday, October 18). Submitters will not need to create new submissions for work to continue in the new system.

November 19 to 22 | No Express services for the following divisions: Alcohol, Children’s Broadcast, Food and Non-Alcoholic Beverage Advertising, Responsible Advertising of Food & Beverage Products to Children, and Cosmetics. All other service levels are available for these divisions.
No Health Products submissions. This division remains unavailable. |
November 25 | Submissions can be made on the new portal for all divisions, including Health Products.
There will be no Express or Priority Service available for Health Product submissions until December 1. |
December 1 | All service levels in all divisions are available. |
