Ad Standards Requirement for Medical, Regulatory or Compliance Attestation for Direct-to-Consumer Information Messages
Ad Standards has established a new procedure to streamline the submission process for direct-to-consumer information submissions. Ad Standards now requests that Advertisers provide a signed attestation from a company Medical, Regulatory or Compliance officer confirming that direct-to-consumer information messages being submitted for Ad Standards review have been evaluated to ensure that the product claims are consistent with the Health Canada authorized Product Monograph and that the non-product claims are supported by the reference materials provided.
